Whew! That word pretty much sums up my life since my last blog, which was way too long ago.
I just returned from the National Speakers Association conference in Phoenix. An extremely worthwhile trip. More on that later.
Right now, let’s talk about how things are going for businesses in this economy. It’s apparent that companies of all kinds and sizes continue to struggle. In time, it will change. One thing about recessions, they always end. The key is how to weather the current storm, manage your cash flow and keep the doors open.
There are several ways to restructure your equipment leases to help with cash flow. I’ve been busy working with companies on this very thing. An interesting point – it doesn’t matter the type of business or size; they all have the same problems.
Here are some of the projects we’re working on.
An east coast county is preparing an RFP to replace all its existing copiers and print equipment throughout the county and in the print shop. The goal is to reduce spending and cut out the total copier fleet as well remove the expensive renegade desktop printers.
A billion dollar food processing company is examining its IT leases for desktop computers, servers and network equipment. It suspects it is being overcharged on its current leasing arrangement.
A New York City printer is negotiating a lease for a new digital copier. Yes, new leases are happening in these challenging times.
A profitable printing company is choked by seven more years of lease payments. Its cash flow is very, very tight. It called us for assistance in restructuring its current leases.
Utilization of some high speed digital printing equipment is down in a multimillion dollar conglomerate. It is planning a redeployment of some equipment to one of its subsidiaries. We’re working on lease renegotiation on its copier fleet.
You see, all it takes is some creativity. You don’t have to be ‘stuck’ with your current leases. You don’t have to accept the contract the way it is handed to you by the leasing company. Everything is negotiable.
Do you have a cash flow problem? Wonder if you should take a new look at your leases?
We’ll do an initial assessment of your situation for free. That’s right, you won’t know if we can help you unless you explore what we might do to help.
The first 20 minutes are at no cost. After that, you’re free to take the information and do whatever you want with it. But of course, I hope you’ll allow us to further explore alternatives for you.
Hope to hear from you! Email [email protected] or call 913-441-4108.
